The Garrard County School District is requesting proposals from mental health agencies to provide school based mental health services within the district. Applicants must be able to provide services for all schools and students PK-12 in the Garrard County School District.
Applications are due May 5th, 2023 by 4:00PM.
Providers submitting an RFP must be in “Good Standing” with Kentucky Department of Social Services (DSS) or be a Federally Qualified Health Provider if coming from a different jurisdiction than the State of Kentucky.

The 3rd Grade students at Paint Lick Elementary and Lancaster Elementary have pen pals at Garrard County High School through the JAG classes, and received their second letter this week!✍️✉️
Every other week, the students exchange letters with their pen pals. The high school students created videos to pair with their letters to the 3rd graders! The PLE and LES students have been so excited this week to read their letters, watch their personalized video and respond to the high school students! #gchsproud #pleproud #lesproud

Today, Garrard County Schools welcomed their first ever district Special Olympics event! Students competed in numerous events, including cornhole, egg races, soccer, baseball, bocce ball, etc. We want to say thank you to our GCS Special Olympics Peer Ambassadors who are our leaders with and without intellectual disabilities who strive for inclusion for all, who have been advocates and have dedicated their time to training and playing together-creating friendship and understanding!

Mrs. Powell's Kindergarten class had a great time in the library. They were able to color pictures of Humpty Dumpty while learning about his story. They were able to color by numbers and see what the picture would look like after it was completed. #pleproud
Paint Lick PTO is hosting a Penny War next week! Each grade level is competing to earn a popcorn party!
Mr. Thompson's class had a great time working in teams and creating proto-types out of different supplies. The students had to use their imagination and knowledge to see what the best way to go about the assignment would be. They all had a great time and did and awesome job! #pleproud
Mrs. Stanley‘s students at PLE are currently learning about the life cycle of a chicken. With the help of Ms. Rhonda, they hatched chickens! The students have been watching the eggs for weeks, discussing the changes occurring and seeing them in real time! Today, they came to class and were welcomed by new baby chicks!🐤 #pleproud
