After enjoying breakfast together, our Veterans participated in a special parade, and our CDR students filled the hallways, waving flags and cheering to say thank you for their service. Thank you Veterans, for your service!

Our GEC preschoolers had an exciting morning learning about the work of our local firefighters and EMS workers! Thanks to Lancaster City Fire and Garrard County EMS for visiting, engaging with the students, and allowing them to climb aboard the trucks! 🚒🚑

Our Garrard County High School Golden Lions Basketball team is offering a youth basketball training camp! Campers will attend one hour sessions with current GCHS Boys Basketball staff and team members. Six sessions will be offered- campers can attended all six (for a discounted rate) or as many sessions as they would like ($15/session). CBI is a vital instructional tool that provides “real life experiences” through a variety of hands-on learning opportunities that allows students with special needs to practice essential skills.

Tech Center Tuesday is here, and today we have a special Tech Center feature! October is #NationalPrincipalsMonth and today we would like to feature Mr. Troy Watts. Let's celebrate a decade of leadership! This month marks the 10th year of dedication from our Area Technology Center's Principal, Mr. Troy Watts. Thank you for your outstanding service! Mr. Watts says, "I love being the principal at the ATC because I have the privilege of working with an incredible staff who are committed to helping students succeed. Our students are dedicated and work hard to develop their skills, and it's incredibly rewarding to be a part of their four years."

Congratulations to Garrard County High School's Job For America's Graduates (JAG) Program and Mr. Jimmie McCulley, for being recognized for exceeding the 6-of-6 Performance Outcome Standards for the Class of 2022. These standards include Graduation Rate, Employment Rate, Positive Outcome Rate, Full-Time Jobs Rate, Connectivity Rate, and Full-Time Placement Rate.
For the past five years, Mr. Jimmie McCulley has been guiding our students through the JAG program. Over 200 students have honed their leadership skills while collaborating with peers, local businesses, and the community.
