Just a reminder! The City of Lancaster is sponsoring a Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 9th at 2:00PM. The egg hunt will take place at the Jaycee Ballpark-293 Jaycees Park Road. The egg hunt will be for children ages 2-10 years old, and they will be divided into three different age groups.

The fifth graders have started their 4H adventure at the North Central 4-H camp. Over the next few days they will learn about animals native to Kentucky, go fishing and a lot of other outdoor activities ! Have fun fifth grade Leopards !
To close out the last day of March- the March Madness Book Bracket Championship has come to an exciting end in the 5th grade hallway at LES! The winner of the Fiction division (Bad Dog, Marley!) defeated the winner of the Non-Fiction division (Greta- The Great Horned Owl) to become the 2022 Book of the Year!📚📖
Lancaster Elementary School is excited to welcome a new student worker to their cafeteria staff! Amanda Monzon Gomez is a senior Culinary student at GCHS, and will now spend her mornings co-oping in the LES cafeteria!

We would like to thank everyone who took advantage of our Test to Stay program during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company providing this resource is no longer offering testing services, therefore GCS will no longer be able to offer this option to our community.

If you have a preschool-aged child who qualifies for preschool, use this link to sign up for their screening. To end Read Across America Week, students and staff were to dress as their favorite book character. The 2nd/3rd hallway staff pulled together to dress as The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
The Lexington Children’s Theater came to GCMS to perform two plays for our students today thanks to our Cookie Dough Fundraiser! The students had a blast!
