On Saturday, December 7th, the LES PTO hosted their annual Pancakes with Santa event. Families from the community gathered to enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by the Buckeye Fire Department, complete with fluffy pancakes and all the fixings.
Students and parents had the chance to take professional photos with Santa Claus and the Grinch, thanks to photographer Patty Lovins. Students shared their Christmas wishes with Santa and laughed at the Grinch's playful antics.
The fun did not stop there! Tables were stocked with holiday coloring pages and supplies for students to write letters to the North Pole. Families also participated in a raffle for a crafted gift basket. No holiday breakfast is complete without hot cocoa, topped with marshmallows and sprinkles, which everyone enjoyed!
The event was more than just pancakes and treats; it was an opportunity for families to come together and create holiday memories. LES Principal, Mrs. Lisa Middleton shared, “Our Breakfast with Santa event, sponsored by our amazing PTO, was a celebration of community, joy, and holiday spirit. Seeing our students and families come together to share a meal, create memories, and enjoy the magic of the season reminds us how special our school family truly is. Thank you to our PTO and all the volunteers who made this event such a heartwarming success!”
As PTO President shared, “It was a great day of watching little faces light up as Santa entered the cafeteria and each child got the opportunity to tell him exactly what they would like for Christmas. As PTO president, you often worry about how the event will go; however, experiencing moments like that with the community is a true blessing. While we plan to learn and grow as we go through this year, our main focus is to continue to provide experiences for our students, staff, and community while investing in the future of LES.”
Thank you to all the families who joined us for this special morning. Your support makes events like Pancakes with Santa possible and keeps the LES spirit alive! We can’t wait to see you again next year.
The LES PTO also expressed their gratitude to everyone who made the event possible, including the Buckeye Fire Department, Patty Lovins, and the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes.
