Non-Traditional Instructional (NTI) Day
In the event that we are unable to have students in the building for in-person instruction due to inclement weather, the district may choose to utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Day. If school is not in session but a NTI Day is being utilized we will notify through Remind, our district Alert System, and our District and School Social Media Sites. If a NTI Day is utilized we ask that you and your student refer to this informational post to assist you with the expectations for the NTI Day.
GMS NTI days will begin at 9:00AM and conclude at 3:00PM. During this timeframe, teachers will be available to provide instruction, support, and guidance on the assigned tasks. It is important for students to attend each virtual class session (if possible), as attendance will be taken during every period.
Please note that students have a grace period of 5 SCHOOL DAYS following each NTI day to submit their completed assignments. This flexibility allows for optimal engagement and ensures that all students can fulfill their academic responsibilities effectively.
