Hi, my name is Nicole Montgomery and I’m excited to join the GCHS MSD team! I’ve been in the world of education of eight years. I spent the last three years at GMS where I was an Exceptional Educator in LBD and MSD settings. My passion is working with students with special needs and with students who just need a little extra love because of behavioral needs. In my free time I love British crime dramas, spending time with my family, thrifting, and watching the cows from my back porch.

Congratulations to Amanda Morrow for being selected as the recipient of the 2023 KY Rural Electric Washington Youth Tour . The Washington Youth Tour is an annual, week-long, all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC, that is open to select high school students whose homes are served by electric cooperatives. Twenty-two of Kentucky’s 24 electric cooperatives participate in the Kentucky Rural Electric Washington Youth Tour.

On Friday, May 12, Garrard's Student Impact Team participated in their annual Day of Service. This day consists of partaking in a voluntary service to their local community. The team broke up into three groups; the first group volunteered at the Garrard Adult Daycare Center, the next group went to the Garrard County Animal Shelter, and the last group walked around town giving out goodie bags to show appreciation to local businesses.
Congratulations to the Class of 2023 from Spurlin Funeral Home! Spurlin Funeral Home would like to wish them the very best on their future endeavors. They have lined the GCHS campus with 183 yard signs in honor of our graduates. Come drive through and see the tribute to our seniors. We ask that the yard signs remain up through May 26th, and then families can begin to take them. Thank you to Tudor Printing for a job well done.

Tonight's District Championship games (Softball and Baseball) have been postponed.
Games will now be played tomorrow, Wednesday, May 17th 2023 at 7:00PM.
Tonight, Garrard County High School will be hosting the first round of the District Tournament for Softball and Baseball. Both the Lady Lions and the Golden Lions play the second game (8PM or 30mins after the first game concludes).
Important Tournament Information:
Students DO NOT get free admission to the district tournaments held at Garrard County for baseball and softball.
Everyone 12 and older must pay $6 admission at the gate and students 11 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
No coaches cards or other passes will be accepted for admission.
Only two weeks left to order a yearbook. Yearbooks can be ordered online at jostensyearbooks.com or in the library.
