Garrard County High School recently hosted its Senior Awards Night, an evening dedicated to honoring the academic and athletic achievements of its seniors. The event was a memorable celebration, bringing together students, families, school board members, and community supporters.
Garrard County School Board members were in attendance, showing their support for the graduating class. Community members played a significant role in the event, presenting scholarships totaling over $60,000. This generous support demonstrated the strong community ties that contribute to the success of Garrard County students.
Garrard County High School Principal, Mr. Michael Anderson, expressed his pride in the students, stating, "Our seniors have demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience. Their achievements in academics and athletics are a testament to their hard work and the support of their families, teachers, and community. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them."
Special thanks were extended to Mrs. Bridget Moss, Garrard County High School Registrar, for her planning of the event, ensuring a memorable night for all attendees.
Following the academic and athletic recognitions, students moved to the gym for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) portion of the evening. CTE teachers and staff celebrated students who passed the End of Program Assessments and earned certifications in their respective fields. Students received certificates and cords, symbolizing their accomplishments and readiness to enter their chosen careers.
The Senior Awards Night was a well-deserved celebration of the dedication and accomplishments of Garrard County High School's seniors. It showcased the collaborative efforts of students, families, educators, and the community in fostering their success.
