[REMINDER] CDR is excited to celebrate Read Across America Week! [March 3rd -7th] We have some fun things planed to keep everyone EXCITED about READING!

Dear CDR Families, We continue to have cars passing others while in the car loop. This creates an unsafe situation for children as caretakers or staff are helping students in/out of vehicles. CDR staff will often stand in the open lane in order to give folks a safe space to unload/load when needed. Over the past several weeks we have had children and staff placed at risk by impatient drivers wanting to scoot around to be on their way. While we understand the need to get to destinations, the safety of our CDR children, their caretakers and our staff is our primary focus. Moving forward, cars will not be allowed to pass others unless a staff member provides that opportunity. There will now be barriers and our SRO positioned in the open lane to ensure the safety of all. We understand this may be an inconvenience for some, but safety is and will continue to be, our top priority. Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly should you have any questions or concerns.
