Garrard County Schools' masking update on Saturday, January 22, 2022, was a request to return to masks to improve the opportunity for students and staff to avoid quarantines. Garrard County Board Policy has not changed. Saturday's update should not be seen as a mandate or requirement.
This is a message from the Garrard County Board of Education.
Due to the continuing rise in the COVID incidence rate in the Garrard County community, the Garrard County Schools will return to wearing masks for the week of January 24, 2022. Masks will reduce the number of quarantines required and will allow more students and staff to remain in school. The return to masking will be reviewed on a weekly basis and a return to optional masking will occur as soon as possible.
